can anyone tell me can type 2 diabetics donate blood?

I think it depends how you treat your diabetes. I'm type 1 and I can't donate. I think it's because of the insulin, but not 100% sure.

If you control your diabetes by diet or tablet then the answer is yes providing there isn't any other medical condition which may prevent you doing so, here's an article to read from DUK:

thanks for that noblehead i think i will have to have a check up before i know i am on 2xinsulin and metformin not very good control at present though, am getting there though ta for that
