When loved ones go, the world shifts in a strange way so everything feels slightly wrong.
I think you hit the nail on the head, calling it surreal.

For me it feels like it takes time to get used to and settle into this slightly changed world before the world feels normal again. I guess it's a normal aspect of grief, it happened every time I lost someone close, including my dog.

Sharon was like a little sister to me. She knew everything about how much trouble I had with my old GP and encouraged me to complain.
I know members on here had said the same thing but having someone facetime felt better in a strange way. I would have gone to the funeral but Sharon and her husband chose to have the die in dgnatity funeral as there would be no fuss. Just the ashes afterwards. Xx
 
Thank you @ally1 for sharing the sad news. Sharon, DD was, indeed, an amazing person. I am glad you had that special bond of friendship, ally, though that must make her loss much more painful for you. Though would add, no doubt, your friendship would have been so precious to her too.

We had planned to meet in person but the Pandemic got in the way.
We were complete opposite but we clicked straigtaway.
There will be a empty void now but at least Sharon is at peace now
