hi there, how much insulin do you guys usually take? i take 40 units in mornin and 40 units at evening of mixtard 30/70 but this seems rather high compared to my brother who has been diabetic longer than me and i have also got quite an active life. what do you think?

It's difficult to compare one person's insulin needs with someone elses. We're all unique and have different levels of insulin sensitivity or resistance. Insulin requirements depend on how much you weigh/exercise etc etc.
Until yesterday when I got hooked up to my insulin pump I was injecting 650 units a day.
It's all relative and no two peoples needs are the same
