I was diagnosed with an Hba1c of 97 back in September and have just had a new test after 7 months with a result of 39. So chuffed! Have stayed relatively low carb but have thrown in a few treats which is even better. Just have to remain consist I guess.
I do think the key is to start sorting yourself out straight away with changes to diet and exercise and keep a positive mindset. Easier said than done I know but this does work. I am on metformin but was in gliclazide and hope to go to no medication when the time is right.
