I was diagnosed with an Hba1c of 97 back in September and have just had a new test after 7 months with a result of 39. So chuffed! Have stayed relatively low carb but have thrown in a few treats which is even better. Just have to remain consist I guess.

I do think the key is to start sorting yourself out straight away with changes to diet and exercise and keep a positive mindset. Easier said than done I know but this does work. I am on metformin but was in gliclazide and hope to go to no medication when the time is right.

CONGRATULATIONS !!!

I remember you when you first posted on this forum. I was like you mate, diagnosed with an HBA1c of 85 but now it's down to 38.

Just had my blood test and awaiting results hopefully it has gone down even further.

Low-carbing is the answer. Control is King.

Excellent stuff! Thanks for posting, I'm on a similar journey and it's information like this that helps keep my motivation up.

Congratulations!

Good luck with your next HBA1c !

Yup, fine now thanks, whatever it was I had was short lived

Glad to hear you're so much better.

We do have our ups and downs with this condition Im afraid. I tend to suffer from weakness and nausea due to low-carbing.

Conratulations, I know how hard it must have been to keep going at times, you have the right to be chuffed
