Anyone else watching this excellent drama on ITV, it's the last episode tomorrow night but the good news is they are currently making a second series. Just love watching period dramas and this ranks up there with the best, has anybody been to Highclere Castle which is the setting for Downton Abbey?

Yes as an answer to both. Julian Fellowes always comes up with something worth watching and the producers have got the cast spot on.
I read somewhere that they are already working on a new series.

At one stage in my career I used to work at a famous castle, so anything such as this is usually of interest to me ... full marks to ITV for broadcast!
 
Just seen the last part of this first series and Julian deserves a standing ovation ... roll on the second series!
 
What a great drama, intrigue upstairs and downstairs.
It is out on DVD tomorrow for anyone who missed this great production.

I heard the other day that they were bringing back Upstairs and Downstairs due to the success of period dramas such as Downton Abbey. Not seen tonight's final episode so sky+ it, so no giving anything away!

Oh yes! Another big fan. The last episode tonight was great and now have to wait till the new year! Boohoo!

Used to work at Clivedon Manor if anyone knows it.

Agreed! :D The part Countess of Grantham was made for Maggie. Jim Carter is also excellent as the butler Mr Carson, he was also memorable as Harry in the classic film Brassed Off.
