Core blimey. Ketosis is back with a bang! My total carb intake over the last 24 hours has been <30g and it's all been from green veg and tomatoes.

Following a Christmas of carb gluttoney, today I've got those "High Blood Sugar" symptoms that only come from Ketones in the blood. My Urine test showed a Ketone level of ~3, so I'm re-adapting after a naughty Christmas period. Blood sugars holding very steady at around 6 +/- 0.5. I'm also holding back to 2000 calories a day in an effort to reduce body fat levels further.

It will be interesting to see the result at the end of the week...

My urine strip often shows 4 hen my blood shows less than one. I tested this with the 3 hour lag as well and both reading were the same. So don't panic you're levels may be ok. Can u test by blood?

It's okay - I've been through this before. No panicking. Just a good indicator that I've hammered straight back into Ketosis and due to my rather more carby diet over Christmas, I'm having the usual dumping of ketones that takes place while my body re-adjusts! Blood sugars are exactly where I expect them to be.

Time for the large amounts of water to flush them all out!
