dr burnstien books??

Hi! Which type of Diabetes do you have and do you have any weight to shift? I would recommend Dr Bernsteins complete Diabetes solution and it covers many areas including weight loss,recipes,footcare and goes into detail about the many 'Hidden' carbs in everyday foods..it depends on how low carb you want to go and what you want to achieve.

Dr Bernstein,although he advocates reducing carbs to a level acceptable on your meter,he does in the main suggest a 6-12-12 regime in the context of 6gs for breakfast,12gs for lunch and 12gs for dinner,30gs per day in total so it's much lower than your current target,it depends if you need to lose weight or how much pancreatic function you have left..perhaps it would be worth reading his book before you make a decision as you can still low carb above 30gs and many low carbers eat 50-60gs a day and get great results.
