does anyone know the sugar content of cava wine.i dont know if im better drinking dry white wine or the cava or a glass of lager.i took my clinistix out with me last night and tested wine and it went on +++ yet my partners bitter stayed on negative.i have been drinking wine for years because i thought dry white wine had hardly any sugarin it :o :o does anyone know what is the best to drink?thanks

From the Calorie, Carb & Fat Bible 2011: -

wine, white, dry, average - 0.6g carb per 100ml
beer, bitter, draught, average - 2.3g carb per 100ml
champagne, average - 1.4g carb per 100ml

Couldn't find Cava specifically. If I come across it I'll post again.

In my opinion/experience, for what it's worth, dry white wine ought to be the best - ie, least carbs.

I'm a red wine girl myself

Of course, it all depends on how much you drink!

Cava ranges from extremely dry to very sweet so will depend on which you drink : brut nature, brut (extra dry), sec (in Catalan) seco (dry), semisec (in Catalan) semiseco (medium) and dolsec (in Catalan) dulce (sweet).
The wiki article on sweetness of wines given earlier says how much sugar is in each one.
