Any suggestions on which beer is good to drink without sending sugar threw the roof

A very quick Google produced this

http://getdrunknotfat.com/low-carb-beer/

I am of the opinion that the sugar in a pint of beer, while fairly high, is not a major problem. The problems start with the second, third, fourth, fifth etc.

I don't know many beer drinkers, including carb counters, who stop at one so they might be best advised to look up how many carbs there are in a gallon.

Last time I said this a few posters wrote in to say that they don't drink at all. Obviously this is not aimed at them.

Seanpaul, as your a newly diagnosed type 1 you should speak with your DSN about staying safe when drinking alcohol, as you've found out beer can raise bg levels but it also lower them many hours later (much like all alcohol) which can result in hypo's.

Thanks for the replies im not only diagnosed iv had it for lot of years was jus wondering if there was anything that i would be better drinking to stop the levels going as high
