I'm very confused as this orange is supposed to be 0g sugar per 250ml dialute no carbs listed either.
I understand there is natural fruit that would cause a spike but surly it should be listed?
Hi Rokaab,Did you wash your hands before doing the test - if not it could've been some residue from something on your hands
A raise of 10mmol/L in 15 mins would make me thing something had gone iffy with the test, either not clean hands or just a dodgy test strip, did you try again?
That Robinsons no sugar orange squash doesn't obviously raise my sugar levels
I'd hazard a guess that your body is reacting to the sweeteners in it. Probably worth avoiding and just have water, tea or coffee?Hi all I'm curious, I have just fasted and my starting glucose levels are 7.8 mmol/L.
I Drank a black coffee no sugar or sweetener
Tested again after 15 minutes and it went to 7.5 mmol/L.
I had a weak Robinson's no added sugar dialute one pint and tested again after 15 minutes and my levels spiked to 17.2 mmol/L

Any advice please and drink solutions
Kindest Regards Phil
Beside the bit where its shows energy and salt it does also state (in very small writing):Although the label says no ADDED sugar the second ingredient is orange juice from concentrate at 20%. That is a sugar source. Some people also find that artificial sweeteners also increase their blood glucose levels.
Yes, just checked and I agree.Beside the bit where its shows energy and salt it does also state (in very small writing):
'Contains negligible amounts of fats, saturates, carbohydrate, sugar and protein' so its shouldn't have much in the way of carbs/sugar in it.
I think it should say clearly how many grams of sugar are in it.
Not 0g as per the label as according to their label in 250ml = 0g of sugar
A perfect example of why we should test. We are all different and testing is the best and fastest way of learning what suits our body, and what doesn't .Thanks for all the feedback. I tested again today
4SURE SMART DUO
Fasting Blood Sugars 7.3mmol/L
20ml Robinson Sugar Free Orange Squash in water.
Post Blood Sugars 16.7 mmol/L
I understand that there are concentrated sugars from the fruit but omg that's ok a massive spike.
I think it should say clearly how many grams of sugar are in it.
Not 0g as per the label as according to their label in 250ml = 0g of sugar
Again thank you for your time and help.
Anyone tried lemon or like zest from the rind in water?
May try that next
