Hi I’m Julie.

I have a restricted driving licence that expires in October 24.
It’s restricted as I’m an insulin type 2.
In the past I’ve had a form come through to be completed by my gp, can you tell me if I should have had that through by now.
I think I saw that some licences they are not sending reminders out but that may be those that got extended during covid.

Thanks In advance

I think I received my last reminder about 6 weeks before it was due for renewal.
It was definitely not 3 months ahead and would not be expecting it yet for a renewal in October.
However, if you want to renew it, you do not need to wait for the DVLA to contact you if it is due for renewal in the next 90 days.
You can apply online: https://www.gov.uk/renew-medical-driving-licence
