Driving with diabetes

Hi I'm 16 looking to apply for a license for a moped but my diabetes is poorly controlled as in high readings will this effect me I'm a type 1 btw
 
You must advise the DVLA of your Type 1 when applying for your Provisional Licence and they will require your Doctor's details. A lot will depend on what your Doctor tells them. Most likely you will be issued a licence that requires renewal every 1, 2 or 3 years. Also make sure that your Insurance Company is notified of your Diabetes once you start driving, as in many cases failure to advise them will negate the Policy.
