Prediabetes Drug-induced prediabetes? Propranolol?

Hi All
There seems to be very little information on drug induced prediabetes.
I suspect Propranolol (Beta Prograne 160mg sustained release).
I have halved my dose to 80mg in an attempt to reduce the effects.
Any advice or information appreciated.

I was wrongly put on propranolol for a year. I say wrongly as it is known to possibly cause hyperglycaemia and I am already diabetic so I with the doctor's approval came off it gradually in the last couple of months.

Hi and thanks for the info.
Did you notice any difference in A1c when on/off/reducing the propranolol?

My Hba1c at the end of August had come down by a point but I wasn't completely off it for another couple of months! I had another Hba1c at the end of November but asked that the result is kept secret until I see the consultant at the end of January. My fasting levels are fairly stable and within range.
