If you are type 1 or 2 on insulin or any blood glucose lowering drugs, you need to inform dvla.

I also told my insurers I'd been given a restricted license because I didn't want to give them any excuse to weasel out of paying up. It shouldn't affect the premium because diabetes is classed as a disability and they cannot discriminate against us.
