Unless you have infection on your skin/earlobes(or any other health complaint on those areas , there is no reason (from diabetic point of view)that could prevent you from having ears pierced.
Exactly same after care will apply to you as well as non-diabetic person, with the difference that for you it is most important that you actually DO it! You should be given instructions for after care for piercing.. but it is just about using appropriate skin disinfectant and rolling those earrings inside newly made holes to stop skin healing and sticking itself on the metal. If not doing so you will risk of infection and healed piercings would rip open again when you attempt to change the earrings.
So be vigilant and do the whole recommended term with cleaning and 'rolling' and you should not have further issues coming up.
I don't know what is recommend 'term' now for the after care , but when I used to do these things, it was couple of weeks...but like I said..you should be provided that info.

I'm t1 and have a 20mm stretcher, and have had my tongue pierced. Diabetes is an auto immune condition, so your body may take more time to heal. With vigilance and care. I believe it is a economical risk. In my view diabetes is part of me and does not control me.
