Hi Ken
What I mean is, I have monitored what I am eating for my evening meal, conducting my usual BG tests, plus testing before bed, at which time the readings hver around the 5 - 5.5 level; so I know that whatever the effect of my evening meal, my levels are once again normal (for me anyway!).
Yet each morning, BG is back up to around 8.
I'm not really a late night snack person, but I have tried these too, both low carb and regular snacks, and have not yet found one which affects in any way the morning reading. I no longer conduct these 'snack tests' because like I mentioned, I'm not keen on eating right before bed anyway). I have also tested in the early hours with nice low readings, but this is only if I happen to wake, I'm not setting an alarm for it.
So, if I'm eating my evening meal between 6 - 7pm, and me BG readings have levelled out to normal before I go to bed (and during the night) how can anything eaten still be affecting my levels 12 hours later?
Oh yes, incidentally, I rise at 6.10 each morning...naturally.
