Hi guys, I would like to know If I train early in the morning (Cycle ride) should i eat breakfast and take my metformin first or can I train then take it? Im type 2 so not sure what is the best way round to do things lol

Do you have access to blood glucose monitor ? The best thing to do would be to test prior to exercise and see what level you are. If not, you can just try both options and see how you feel ? Personally, I would not eat a full breakfast prior to exercise, I would perhaps have a piece of toast or a cereal bar and after cycle ride, possibly another piece of toast or something. To be honest, it's difficult to advise without testing as you need to know how exercise affects your BG ! Good luck !

When I do exercise in the mornings I always have breakfast a couple of hours before I do get up far too early lol
I couldn't exercise without food as my sugars drop alarmingly after exercise
Good luck :-)
