I agree the latest science shows that we should raise our good fat ratio. Omega 3's, fish oil, avocado, butter and cheese from grass fed cattle, coconut oil have found to be very healthy for over all health with those dealing with diabetes and cancer. This is the ground breaking science we have just review by renowned holistic specialist in dealing with Cancer and other diseases dealing with fungus in the body like candida and other types. Some carbs turn into sugar faster than others. Living foods make the body alive. Processed and other dead foods create non oxygen environment. Getting oxygen to the cellular level is key. H202 food grade 2 drops in a glass of water building daily to as much as 8 or more delivers oxygen quickly at the cellular level. There are a couple of things I totally disagree with in this post.
Fat has ZERO effect on insulin. Thqaat's why Atkins advocated a low carb high fat diet for his cardiac patients. In addition protein doesn't help burn off body fat. In fact a high protein diet tends to raise blood glucose in diabetics; and in those who have Chronic Kidney disease [common in diabetes] Too much protein is harmful. It's no problem with ealthy kidneys.

PS low carb high fat works well for weight loss in diabetics.

Easy and effective tips to lose weight and like to add, take 5/6 small meals including snacks and drink more water than routine to boost metabolism and to lose weight. Workout regularly as it will burn your body fat and lose weight. Do not eat late, manage stress and have proper sleep.
I'm not working, but I tried for years to follow the 'eat little and often' advice and it just didn't work for me, although I know it suits many people, it didn't suit me. 2 or 3 meals a day, depending on how hungry I am, suits me much betterEating several meals a day is not viable or possible for most working people. 3 spaced varied meals is more than enough for your metabolism.
B)........ But lowering your carb intake will make many feel tired and less energy than before.

How many times do we have to point out that WE DO NOT NEED CARBS FOR ENERGY - WE ARE EQUALLY CAPABLE OF USING FAT AS WELL/INSTEAD. If you take the time to read the forum, you'll also find that we have a number of low carbing marathon runners and other athletes here.B) You need carbs for energy. If you sit on your backside most of the day your not burning as many carbs therefore lchf may be good. But lowering your carb intake will make many feel tired and less energy than before. For people who do lots of physical work / exercise lchf is not a good idea.
