To many to mention.
Has anybody watched this program on BBC iplayer by Michael Mosley, this guy does some really interesting programmes. It would seem that the food we eat contributes to our ageing and overall health, and that either fasting on alternate days and feasting on the other can have some quite dramatic results, or if you can hack it 86 hour fast once every month, it appears that doing this puts your body into repair mode rather than replacing the body's cell's which it is thought is the cause of major diseases like Cancer. It does state that you would need to be healthy and be checked out by your Doctor if you decide to try the 86 hr fast, that would be really hard one for me, I would end up eating the wife's arm in my sleep Ekkkkk

Hi Roy another thread on this subject was posted yesterday. RRB

Hi,
I watched the programme too and thought it looked like a great idea but was not sure if it would be safe for me .
Fortunately I had an appointment at the diabetic clinic on thursday and discussed the programme with the doctor and he has given me the go-ahead to try it.
I just have to keep monitoring my blood glucose throughout the fast days.
I may not do my two fast days together as I might not manage it.
The doctor said that I would still benefit from this.
I am having my firsty fast day today :)
I hope it works as I am not doing too well at keeping my glucose down
