Eat lots of carbs when taking exams?

Is it the wrong advice? For those who normally eat a high carb diet, I think eating complex carbs would be helpful while taking exams. I personally wouldn't choose to take exams while experiencing symptoms of keto flu.
What's sad though, is that those who prevent themselves from entering into ketosis during the period of fasting are also preventing themselves from experiencing some of the health benefits. Is it a month long fast? I live in the US so am not familiar with these religious practices. Hopefully, they're entering into ketosis during part of the fast.
