Are there any graphic designers out there who might knock up a good 'Eat to your Meter' logo ? I've spent the last half hour trying to draw a cartoon blimp whose stuffing his face whilst holding a meter, but I'm rubbish at drawing.

I just wanted a way of saying that I support the philosophy of 'Eat to your Meter' without the arguments or suggestion that it's being imposed on others. For the time being I've added the words to the bottom of my sig, so that others can see that's the approach I'm taking and that's what, if asked, I'll recommend.

We need a web designer chappie or chapess or a graphic artist. I do the wrong kind of dev so not my forte. Maybe someone on Benedict's team might help us if we ask nicely shouldn't take one of their web dev too long to help us out. Alternatively is there anybody out there...

I like this idea Swimmer. I think if you don't mind, I will also add 'eat to your meter' to my sig too. Even if just one newbie asks what it means, we have achieved something.

Jules, I noticed your avatar, and think it's great.

I have some friends who I could ask. What kind of logo would people want? Give me an idea and I will ask around and see what I can do.

err sorry Ju must be blind didn't see it

I was trying to draw something like 'belly' from (ironically) the 'Just Eat' adverts

but I think the words are quite powerful on their own. It's a philosophy that I feel I can promote, because it's what I do.

I remembered I made some banners for my daughters recently. I have tried the same thing here.

Love it!

I went for my first diabetes clinic appointment at my surgery yesterday. I go back in 3 months to have all the usual blood checks. I am booked to see a dietician next week but no chance of a meter I spent £40 on 50 strips and 200 lancets so I can take control - I hope- and continue working. Count me in on getting this message out there ! Ash

If anyone's struggling to find a blood test kit(ty) we have ten cats, apart from one, they aren't fussy who they bite.... :D

Just to continue this discussion a little, I am keen to speak to other type 2's about their experience, problems, control etc and explain the very simple concept of Eat to your meter, if they are interested. The trouble is that whilst we do speak to the large number of newcomers who reach this forum, I suspect it's a) a very small proportion of type 2's b) unrepresentative as we only meet those who are engaging with their condition and seeking help.

It's a bit like a Brit assuming all young Australians are adventurous and want to travel, because that's the type we see most.

I know there are diabetic support meetings and members here that do speak at them, but I don't know much about them - are they NHS or DUK organised? Could we perhaps start by asking a few questions, taking a sort of face-to-face poll at this sort of meeting? Not a pressured sell - more of a fact finding mission.
