Eating Low Carb out and about

I went into a cafe in Fowey in Cornwall this morning and explained my low carb status. I said put anything on the plate as long as it has no carbs. So, sausage, bacon, egg, mushrooms, hog's pudding - all fine. The lovely owner said " shall I put just the one piece of toast on then?". I said " no thanks". She offered to substitute an extra egg for no beans. I declined and said I'd pay the full price with no problem. All very easy, civilised and delicious!

(And I've lasted all day on it, without the need for lunch.)
 
Just had a pleasent meal out, a 'homemade' lasagne, I asked to swop the chips for a salad, it came with a plate of salad, onions, peppers, and two halves of a boiled egg.
That and a pint, just tested, 4.5.

I know what you mean.
I was completely satiated from the yummy lasagne and salad yesterday, just about 24 hours later I feel like eating again!
And that's after a long walk.
 
Hmm that's odd. I wasn't hungry today either. I meant to eat my first meal at around 12 but didn't have it till 5 pm.
 
I think a lot of eating is just habit, or boredom, most of the time for some.

I'm not saying I don't feel 'hungry', but I changed the way I look at it, so occasionally I don't feel I actually have to eat, rather than want to.
 
Most of us on here say "eat to your meter", but I agree with the thought that if you don't feel hungry, then don't eat. As you say @douglas99 it's only if you want to.
