I was wondering if anyone had experience getting a council house from Edinburgh council?
I have been bidding for houses for 6 years & have never been offered a house
I have just found out that I have 1940.00 points, does anyone know if this is a good amount of points or not?
How many point have people had when they've been offered a house?

I'm afraid I don't know anything about this but have you tried contacting Shelter Scotland? Although the majority of what they do is aimed at the homeless, they can probably advise you as to whether the number of points that you have gives you any chance of getting a council house, and when you might get it.

Their website is here. I have no experience of the Scottish organisation, but English Shelter were enormously helpful when a friend of mine needed advice, many years ago, and they have an excellent reputation.

Thank you, I have been in touch with shelter but although helpful they couldn't answer my question.
My locally council keep avoiding my question by giving answers to questions I don't ask.
I think I'll have to actually go to there offices!
