Does anyone have any experience to share of the effect of eating eggs ( say 2 per day ) on cholesterol whilst eating a low carb diet - Eggs are a staple of my diet, bit concerned if that's worsening my cholesterol figures which are not great to start with.

don´t know , and therefore I don´t eat many eggs yet.. interesting what people have experienced in here ?

I really don't like eggs but I am going to try them I desperately need get some weight off .

In my experience eggs have no influence on cholesterol.
A year ago my total cholesterol was 8.7.
Since then I have eaten 2-5 eggs a day, do LCHF and am not on statins.
All my cholesterol numbers are now within normal range.

Dietary cholesterol has very little impact on the cholesterol measured in the doctor's tests, so you don't have to worry.

In fact, if your body gets too low on cholesterol, it will make more, since it is needed for so many different bodily functions and in almost every cell in the body.

The myth that Eggs Are Evil Cholesterol Bombs was debunked years ago.

Thanks, I just did my first homes test for cholesterol, which seems to have gone up a bit, though I'm still getting to grips with the monitor and how to read the numbers - its reassuring to see that others don't appear to have made it worse through eggs, My cholsesterol intake comes out way higher than SDA at present,. I will just carry on going for now.

Some people have reported a slight rise in cholesterol levels when they start on their LCHF diet, but they've then come back down again. So don't fret of you see this happen.

You could try oopsie bead. It is quite good, mostly eggs, no carb(trace) and does not taste like eggs. It is tough enough to use for sandwiches or burger buns.

Just make sure your bowl is metal or glass and surgically clean and dry when whipping the egg whites. It's very easy to make.

it does look nice I will give it a go cheers for the helpx

My cholesterol is a bit higher than my HCP's really want. It was an acceptable level...low 5's... before I had T2 but not as low now as they like it for diabetics. My nurse did however say that if I want to eat eggs for breakfast every day that's fine but just not to eat to much saturated fat in other foods
