I am flying to North America and I am wondering does anyone know if taking a few drops of electrolyte solution in a fluid drink would be ok? It is advertised as a recommended solution to the physical stresses of flying- dehydration, dry skin etc - for a Type 2 sufferer.

I am a fairly frequent flyer as my family live abroad and jet lag can be very debilitating.

I don’t see why not. Guess you’re asking because there’s often sugar in the mixes? I use this one, which just contains the electrolytes.

Some people also recommend melatonin - didn’t work for me, and can be difficult to source in the UK, but perhaps worth a try? Much easier to get it in the US.
