I started on Empagliflozin last week, so far, so good, and side effects are so much better than Metformin. The only problem I have at the minute is some lightheadedness. It's doesn't last long, a few seconds at a time.

Can I ask if anyone else has experienced this and if so roughly how long did it last?

I'd be grateful for any help.

I started Empaglifloxin last April and have this. Particularly bad if I bend over then stand up too quickly. It hasn’t got worse or better but I’ve learned to stand slowly!

The flozins are know to lower blood pressure infact my cardiologist has just prescribed it to me for exactly that reason..

Light headedness could be a result of lower blood pressure.. would be worth checking the BP occasionally if within normal range it could just be slightly lower than normal and the body will adjust to accept it…. Also if BP related you can find the effect more after just standing up
