When people came to the end of their honeymoon period presumably this was based on a higher fasting sugar level. For someone who may be at the end of a honeymoon period what would a typical fasting blood sugar level be?

My understanding is that it's kind of the other way around. People realized they were no longer in the honeymoon period when it took more insulin to maintain their blood sugar levels.

I don't think there's a "typical" answer with respect to blood sugar.

Are you having to increase your insulin doses to keep things in check?

Well my blood sugar when i woke up today was 6.2 which shocked me a bit as i had never been above 4.5 at the same time previously

I think mine is finishing...my bloods have crept back up to 8's, 9's and a 15.3 last night :wideyed: however, this has happened before, and I have just enjoyed a few weeks without fast acting insulin. There is no definitive bs reading, number or end date, just swings and roundabouts and going with the flow :) all the best x
