Today, instead of doing my usual shopping and pulling and carrying shopping home, I went to Iceland spent £66.00 and had it delivered. It was supposed to be delivered between 7 and 9pm,it wasn't. I rang at 9.30 and a guy told me the delivery driver was running late, had 2 more to do and he knocked on my door at 10pm. He apologised for being late, I went to pick up bags on doorstep, one bag ripped, food spilled out,I'm not happy. Took some frozen food out of bags and some were defrosting :x evenmore unhappy and getting annoyed. Now I have been phoning the same number for just over an hour and constantly engaged, just tried itagain and he is probably talking to his mates or girlfriend. I'm fuming, this is the first time I have bought and had food delivered from Iceland(I did it because of my eye so asnot to cause any strain or stress or trauma) and it will be the last and also 2 of the oranges in the net bag have seen better days. I am really trying to keep calm but I'm getting angrier by the minute, I just wish he would pick up the god dam phone, never never again, gggrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Get on Google... Look up 'contact Iceland' and ring them of you don't already know their number.

In my experience with online shopping the guys at the end of the phone are only too happy to help as they want your return custom.

Ring them. They will sort out probably a partial refund for all your problems.

Oh dear that isn't a good experience! I hope you've managed to get it sorted.

I had ASDA turn up late a few times so I gave up using them. Once they were 2 or 3 hours late so we had rung to cancel and then they knocked on the door anyway!!

I've found Sainsbury's are very good and ring if they are going to be late and ring to ask if they can come early. However I don't tend to buy fresh stuff online - I like to go to the shop to find this myself as I'm picky about fruit and veg.

Sorry you are having such a bad time with that company.
If you have not received communication from Iceland yet. send a complaint via their web site.

It is such a shame we could not take hassle away from you and sort it out without you going through such nonsense.

Also calm down and give top management the opportunity to correct their bad customer service to you.
As soon as they find out you are the great "Robinredbreast" Iceland will be on meltdown.

Have a lovely rest, and take it easy,

Roy,

Sadly, this sort of poor quality service is all too common. It is worth investing the time finding reliable companies and to then stick with them. It's worth paying a little extra money if you can afford it to just avoid the hassle. When you get to my age, you have to look after your blood pressure!

Difficult to beat Waitrose home delivery. I've tried them all. Not as expensive as you think either as they do their own value range now. Great value for money and you can certainly see the difference in quality.

Agreed. Have you seen PM from me ... v. important ... thanks

Apologies for the moan last night, I was trying to watch Sense and Sensibility and relax ( I love this film) and with the driver being an hour late, bag splitting etc , I ended up a bit grumpy and tired

Any how's, I tried the phone number this morning, still busy so walked to Iceland's, told the Manager about the problems, she apologised replaced defrosted food and offered up to £5 good will of food, I declined ( as I told her the reason why I needed the food delivered because of my eye problem) so she asked if I would like a chicken, I just said no as I'm not supposed to carry heavier things, oh well.
I got back home and wrote to Iceland In Deeside and had a moan at them as well, I don't know what I'm going to do in the coming weeks, but I'll think of something.

Thanks for your replies

Best wishes RRB

Yorksman, I've always had good blood pressure, apart from 12 years ago when I had my daughter, it's my eyes I'm trying to keep calm and unstressed and that's the complete opposite of how I felt last night

All the best RRB
