People who interrupt you when you're talking and people who won't listen.
My GP is referring me to one of these clinics as my BS and BG is high and I'm very overweight. He seems to think it's a good idea to have all of my issues dealth with under one roof...ie this clinic. Has anypne been to one of these clinics? I'm not too sure what to expect.

I did ask my GP if it was a good use of my time. For example, if they're just going to tell me to lose weight, it's a waste of my time. He seems to think they'll be helpful. Hmmmm.....

I think you will find that there are a group of health care professionals who are involved including DSNs, psychologists, dietitians and the like so that they are evaluating all aspects as opposed to just concentrating on your weight issues.

If you get a consultant as good as mine, go for it. Nowt to lose!

I think we should all see an endocrinologist at least once a year . I had type 2 over 10 years and underactive thyroid a bit longer and haven't seen anyone specialising in either until going in insulin 12 weeks or so ago and seeing a dsn at our newly merged surgeries a couple of miles away.

Totally agree! I wouldn't have been diagnosed if not having a hypo in the docs!
