Engine immobiliser for diabetics?

Ok . I am driving to Scotland (for example) with the Mrs. We stop off after 3 hours of traveling at the services and I am tired and ask my Mrs to drive for a few hours while I have a nap! The car will not start as I am in the car at 4.9. It would need an over ride switch then? Which, upon thinking about it, would be a total waste of time having the system in place to start with

That i can appreciate - my partner doesn't drive so i have a tendency to forget most people share the burden on long drives! there was no hypo but last year i drove him 9 hours up to Loch Ness for his 30th birthday..... in one day! I was barely running on caffeine fumes by the time we got there!
But anyhoooo that was very off topic... Still thinking about it and thinking temporary engine immobilisation wouldn't be viable at all. But i like the idea of a dash mounted beeper! Even better if we can still get something playing over the car speakers. If it could lower insurance premiums then that's a bonus for drivers

Yep, I get it..

There is ways to override an interrupter on a starter motor.. I devised one for if my alarm messed up?

Though I wouldn't want your partner to be up to her elbows in engine bay... No more than she would wish you driving whilst low.

Soooo... There could be an four digit key pad with a code that she only knows or some sort of USB style interface plugged in to override..
Let's face it. Any mechanic doing works on your car may have issue too?

A lot of cars with dashboard screens enable you to link your mobile phone to the screen, so that you can use Google Maps, play your music etc. If the apps for blood glucose were/are compatible with Android Auto or the iOS equivalent, then that might serve your purpose.
