Hi diabetes.co.uk, how are you , my love ? I have a question related with the diabetes , I have inflamed thyroid hashimoto with a non-cancerous thyroid nodule because I did the test in 2013, and that does not bother me in any way , I am not fat 64-63 kg, I have normal visible neck without bumps , but it is hard to touch and without wrinkles as other people have, because it is inflamed, I do not take eutirox because I have no money for consultation, I eat endive for the regeneration of all cells in my body, so also for the regeneration of the thyroid, I drink coffee with salt without iodine , and, yes, it works, my neck is less swollen than in 2013, and I did not have cycle, in 2013 I had, I had even through 2016-2017, from time to time, pretty good, kept me 2 months continued a year, now I have no more because I do not take eutirox, I would like to ask how long do I have diabetes if I do not take eutirox because I have no money yet ? are thyroid linked to diabetes? does Hashimoto's thyroid change physiognomy of my face ? I think so, because I am much more beautiful than I am now, this is not the physiognomy of my face that I have now, thank you.

Hi @SOLEDAD RAFFAELLA MOTOC and welcome to the forums

I suspect that we may have a slight language barrier here because I find your post slightly confusing, but let me see if I can help at all.

Thyroid conditions and diabetes go together quite often, unfortunately. As a T1 diabetic I get my thyroid levels checked occasionally though so far they are fine.

I am not clear. Do you currently have diabetes? If so, which kind?

Hi EllieM staff.member and nice to meet you , I know you from the Forum , and thank you for your response to me , honestly, I don't know if I have diabetes, because I haven't had my blood tests since 2013 because I don't have the money, but I don't think I have diabetes, because I've had my blood sugar a few times when my diabetic mom takes it every day , and it's under the limit , so I can say I don't have diabetes now, but I could have it if I don't take eutirox . I do not know what to say, Maybe the European Commission to Italy will help me to do my blood tests and to know my health status from now, from 2023, Thanks EllieM , I love your puppy, I had a hamster that died of Small in 2018 and I think he had diabetes I did not take him to the vet that I had no money but I gave him ibuprofen , and I keep it in a small jar where I put the ground, and it sits well, it is whole that when he died, with the moustaches. ElliM you are also a member of the European Commission ? yes, I think you are, the European Commission would need someone like you a UK diabetes in UK-delegation. EllieM , my mom has a girlfriend who does insulin 4 times a day, is that possible ? Why do insulin 4 times a day ?

Hi @SOLEDAD RAFFAELLA MOTOC

Firstly can I assure you that these forums have nothing to do with the European Commision. They are based in the UK but members are from all over the world, and moderators such as myself are just forum members who volunteer their time to do moderation.
It's good that you don't think you currently have diabetes, though I'm not sure why you think that taking or not taking eutirox will affect your chances of getting it in the future.
Insulin dependent diabetics often take insulin more than 4 times a day, in order to keep their blood sugar levels at normal levels. But there are several forms of diabetes, and many diabetics need no insulin at all, and control by diet or oral medications.
