Does anyone know if we can take blood testing kits on Eurostar without a doctor's letter? I don't think there should be a problem, but with heightened security there may be.

It doesn't appear here specifically, but could get caught up under "Any other weapon made, adapted or intended for use as an offensive weapon."

If you need clarification :
"If you’re not sure about a particular item, just get in touch to check before you travel."

I can't see me priming the pricker and attacking anyone, but that's what they may imagine. I may just phone them.

I showed my doctor's letter when I travelled on Eurostar a few years ago. I found their security as strict as an airports.

If you do t have a letter, you could take a copy of your prescription if theyre on there.

I don't have a prescription: everything is done electronically. But as I am self-funding they are not on there anyway. I could show my metformin box.

You could. I'd also declare what you're carrying as soon as you get to security and have it all ready to show them : )

That's what I thought of doing. Perhaps send it through the X-ray separately.

Eurostar still serve food on crockery plates with metal eating irons, and a glass for your drink. Doubt a little lancet is going to be a problem
