My hubby has his Christmas work do on 21st January and it's black tie. I bought my evening dress which is long and tight around the bust area so not possible to wear the pump on my bra (in fact dress might even be a bra-less number).

Thing is the night starts with a meal so where can I carry my pump?

Yes, on your leg. Iv worn three slinky dresses since being on the pump. Attach your canular to your thigh and then you can use anything like one of those sports support bandages or a proper thigh pump pouch. I put pop socks on and put it in there just to the side. Enjoy your evening!

I can't wear the set in my leg as my legs are very skinny and would hurt and bleed like hell!

If I wear my set on the stomach region will the tubing be long enough to reach a pump pouch (23 in)? Also will animas give me one free or will I have to pay for it?

Could you just use an injection for that night and leave pump at home ? Do you not also have a 'back up' pen if anything goes wrong ?

Sue

No to take the pump off for the night, would mean that Mushpeabrain would have to not only inject for the meal, but also inject her missing basal every 2 hours...

I think if I remember right mushpeabrain as got the Spirit combo, with the handset so a advatage is that she doesn't have to get to the pump...

My depending on waist line I would either wear a waist band under the dress or around the leg, did you get the waist strap? If you didn't quite easy to knock one up, with a bit of waistband electric and so on velcro onto it, minid I would be tempted to use some tubi-grip to stop it all slipping..

If you are able to wear a bra, you could always buy a pair of baby socks sew this to the side of the bra so it tangles underneath your arm,,

No, Mushypea is not on the spirit combo

jealous that you get the chace to weara posh frock!

I would wear it in one of those pouches that hang from your bra (if you are wearing one!) You do get alump under your arm, to the side. I often wear my pump like this...I am doing as I type. yes, there is a "bulge under" my arm...but I honestly don't give a monkeys. No one has ever commented, and it is really only noticeable if you are dancing etc, and waving your arms around,. In my case, if I was dancing and waving my arms around, the slight bulge from the pump would not be the main talking point, more the Widdacombe style contortions.

Thanks for all your replies!!

The dress is very tight and fitted around the bust and middle area so no option to wear in bra or under arms etc. The dress then flows out so LEG it is!

Now the question is which part and how

I enquired with Animas about a thigh thing and it would be £19. I'm happy to pay that if it's any good but some USA reviews said it's awful and falls down. Anyone used one?

The other issue is that it's a full length dress so would have to pull the dress up to get to my bolus and might look a tad dodgy!

Other option is to wear it on the lower leg with the animas leg thing but it might be uncomfy.

Any other leg ideas very welcome!!!

How about a popsock with the foot part cut off or a cut up pair of thick tights with the leg part cut off and used like a length of tubigrip? You could hide the pump in that?

Good luck with the event and hope you can reach some sort of compromise.
