My doctor says i have prediabetes and i have been having foot pain that they cant explain so he has suggested i take evening primrose oil capsules. I have a couple of questions i hope someone can answer before i decide to take them. Firstly i have low blood pressure and i have read these can lower blood pressure so would it be safe for me to take them? Secondly i read that they can lower blood glucose levels is this possibly why the doctor is suggesting them or it is because i read they can help with pain. I hope someone can help.

I suffered peripheral neuropathy in my feet at prediabetic levels, it was only when fully diabetic and eating low carb that things resolved. had i known when prediabetic i could have done something then. Reduce your carb intake, this will reduce your blood sugars, probably taking you out of prediabetes, and should help the pain. Eating low carb you will realise that those little aches and pains you put down to aging, weren't.
Evening primrose oil is touted as anti inflammatory, probably why advised, guess what low carb is even more anti inflammatory.
