Apparently, according to the letter I've just received, because I've reached the venerable age of 80 I'll get a state pension increase. Great I thought, reading on - to discover that I'll now be the princely sum of 25p better off each week.o_Oo_O I kid you not!! But I'm just at a bit of a loss as to what to spend it on....

Aww, don’t be ungrateful, @Robbity2 . The DWP, have gone to the great expense of at least 2 months worth of that increase to send you that letter. :bag::rolleyes::banghead::D

Yes indeed @Pipp, that's partly what really [rude-word-ed] me off the most, particularly the thought of how many similar letters must get sent out...:banghead:

It's probably unwise to announce publicly that you have come into such great wealth! :)
