Hi guys, i am a recently informed type2 & need some advice please, i am a big walker 4-15 miles at a time, i have today been for my 1st walk since being told i am type2 only 4 miles & felt fine but on checking my levels on return it had dropped to 4.4 is this ok or should i be eating whilst walking?

Are you taking any meds for your diabetes?
If not then you're fine.
That's a great level to be at.

@Cudgie Welcome! As bulkbiker says, provided you are not on Blood Glucose lowering Meds that is a good result. You will find that activities such as walking, gentle cycling and swimming will bring Blood Glucose down as your muscles take on the sugar for energy. Indeed many here, (me included) use such tactics as part of our Blood Sugar management

Absolutely what they said!

T2 is a condition of insulin resistance, and exercise is one way to reduce insulin resistance and normalise blood glucose.
You may find it useful/interesting to run some blood glucose tests around exercise to see how much you need to exercise to get the benefits, and how long afterwards they last. :)
