Hi everyone. I was diagnosed with T2 a year ago and then changed my diet and took up exercise (gym) on a regular basis which enabled me to lose 13kg. Since April this year, i had a nasty fall and hurt my back so couldnt exercise for 6 weeks. I then started slowely walking 2-3 times a week. Then other events and a holiday got in the way and i didnt see the gym for weeks!! Now i feel i have lost total motivation to do anything and finding it a real struggle to get moving again!! Im due to see my DM in a month where she will weigh me (yikes)...HELP :(

Hi
I know the feeling, had a great 18 months.. diet control and exercise. Weight down bg down. Then eye op, holiday wife in hosp and other family props.
Everything goes to pot.
All we can do is keep trying... gets some pals to help share the your probs and you share theirs

We all need a motivational boost from time to time and triggers to perform workouts. Clearly initially your momentum was high. I use fear of complications as one of my tools. A further motivation is the bravery of a family friend who was born with a heart disease which has meant that all his life he has been in and out of hospital; it has not always been good news but he has fought hard, so I say if a teenager can cope with this I can cope with a 1 mile run etc. Perhaps a more positive motivation has been a goal I have set to achieve a 6 pack - I have associated a 6 pack with low visceral fat which improves insulin resistance. So perhaps you can find a couple of triggers which will inspire you to push on from an excellent 13 kg weight loss.

P.S.
My wife kept asking why I was watching T25 infomercials, these I also found inspirational.

Thank you for the tips! I need someone to literally push me out the door lol
Now...where did i put my trainers?? Hehe
