Good morning all my friends when ever I do gardening for an hour then have a 30 minute break I do a test now there might not be an answer but I will ask anyway my BG always reads in the low 4's,does that mean that I have to garden 24/7 ;)if I do this twice a day or 10 times the result is always the same ,why is this:) thank you

maybe because nature seems to get stress levels down really effectivly

wiseowl nice to have to around again! Last Sunday, I walked about 8 miles in The Alhambra (Granada) grounds and the following morning my fasting sugar level was 5.0. Yesterday the faring reading was 4.7 with very little exercise back in London. It's all very bizarre and inexplicable at times!

Things are working for you so don't cause yourself unnecessarily stress by worrying!

Good afternoon @Freema @PansyP my friends and thank you, your kind and friendly comments are most appreciated, looks like I shall have to keep on the move then,;)

Hi @wiseowl_123 ..
I have no idea if there is a medical / physiological issue here .. all that I do know is that when I test for pre-prandial on a Monday, Wednesday or Friday late afternoon my BS is regularly lower (low 5s) than it is at the same time on other days. The connection? Monday, Wednesday and Friday are the days that I play golf in the morning (full round, 18 holes, walking approx 6250 yards) :)

Simple, it's the exercise and a **** good excuse to play every day!

I am sure we had a leaflet on the health benefits of open air. Naturally I cannot find it now. I will ask if it is still available online when I next go in on Tuesday. It may have changed because the great and the good do a lot with schools and community gardening . Meantime this looks like it covers the same area. I have not actually read it myself http://learn.eartheasy.com/2014/09/6-unexpected-health-benefits-of-gardening/

Strangely it appears there is no longer anything on the general well being aspects of gardens and being outdoors. I have asked my uplines who have directed me to Thrive https://www.thrive.org.uk/what-is-social-and-therapeutic-horticulture.aspx and to google search horticultural therapy. Not quite the same thing. Lol. If "he that does" writes something on the topic in the near future I will post a link.
