Oh and I'm also sleeping much better, managed to go a full seven hours last night until the alarm clock at 7 without waking up for a slash. For years I'd wake every hour or 3 and never felt completely rested.
Yes, thanks for that. I now recall my doctor saying to me that there was a time you would have been diagnosed on that fasting level but your a1c says otherwise.Diagnosis of diabetes will NEVER be made on a high fasting level alone. That went out of the window years ago. It is always followed up with an HbA1c, and if necessary a second HbA1c a couple of weeks later, or an oral glucose tolerance test. All this before diagnosis. So no need to worry on that score.
Often for many people it isn't necessary to eat breakfast, but best to have something fatty such as a coffee with cream or a lump of cheese dipped in mayo, which should stop any liver dump in its tracks, and then have some sort of lunch and then evening meal. No need for supper.
when I was T 2 something small, fatty and vlc always did the tick. Sometimes just a mushroom or piece of celery dipped in mayo was enough. Or a few nuts. You can keep nuts in your pocket haha. Anything that brings in a little insulin without raising bs. I used to be a grazer and only ate dinner. Worked great until it didn't. Darn genes.....Yes, I have noticed that. Even something small halts the rise and sends it back south for a while. Little and often could be sustainable for me.
Yes, I think I have worked out some good things today. 10g carb first thing in the morning raised me 1.5 this morning but 10g this afternoon only raised it 0.2. Clearly a bigger problem first thing. I was drinking green tea every morning but that didn't affect anything. It seems I am more tolerant of carbs later in the day, whichever would tie in with my lifetime of not eating until evening. Autonomous system needs retraining maybe, if that's even possible. Can but try.OK you have solved it all yourself.
Have some supper, a few carbs.
As soon as you get up have a coffee and double cream or cheese and mayo
Have lunch
Have evening meal
Off the subject briefly but I love your posts on everything. Just wanted to share that. We seem to think very much alike...in my mind anyway hahaYep, cut the morning carbs. I can't eat any carbs before lunch. Just have fat or fat with protein. Green tea is useless as you need fat to stem the liver dump. We are all better with carbs later in the day because we have more insulin sensitivity then.

Your body does know what it likes and dislikes.. we just have to learn to listen. Something a lot of people have forgotten how to do unfortunately. Me included for the last 40 odd years..This all now is starting to make sense. All my adult life I've hated eating in the mornings, cereal always left me feeling sick. Yet I never had the same problem with the same cereals at night time.
I was just thinking earlier on. The govt and WHO are in chaos over the impending diabetes epidemic.Your body does know what it likes and dislikes.. we just have to learn to listen. Something a lot of people have forgotten how to do unfortunately. Me included for the last 40 odd years..
