Im a bit worried. I was wondering if anyone else received a letter that told there there had been some slight diabetic changes to their eyes after their eye exam The letter ays its nothing to worry about immediately but does this mean I have early retinopathy, and if so is there anything I am able to do to stop it? Thank you x

Hi @TracyC

If the letter says there's nothing to worry about then please don't, just keep on top of your diabetes and they will monitor your progress closely from here-on, if it is background retinopathy then have a look at the following that has some great information and advice on the condition:

Best wishes and hope all works out well.

You can reduce the risk of diabetic retinopathy progressing by maintaining good control of blood glucose, blood pressure and blood lipids.
