Never had this before so thought I'd check what you guys think.
Had a little cough today and straight away had sparkles in my left eye. A bit like mini fireworks. They died down after a few seconds but my eye still feels a little odd. I mean normally I can't feel my eye and at the moment I can.
Only diagnosed diabetic in November and had a clear retinopathy scan in December.
Anything I should concern myself about?

It's probably nothing to do with diabetes as eye flashes are often associated with coughing fits, but it is worth having it checked out because there are many possible causes. Some people get buzzing or ringing in their ears for example, like a high speed electric motor makes. It might be something as simple as being a bit blocked up from having a bit of a cold. Inflamation can put pressure on the local blood flow.

It's not unusual that after a diagnosis, people tend to question every ailment and ponder if it is anything to do with diabetes. We all do it.

Isn't that more commonly known as seeing stars?
Happens to me after I've sneezed sometimes.
