What do the eye drops they use for the diabetic eye screening feel like?
Last time I went, they said as I am an adult now, they will need to use the eye drops for me, and they said "sorry about that, I know it's not the nicest of things :S"
So what do they actually feel like? Do they sting, or hurt? and what are the effects?

They sting quite a bit when they first go in, then smart for a while... but this soon passes off. Your vision will go blurry, and your eyes will be more sensitive to light, since the drops dilate your pupils. You shouldn't drive or operate machinery until your eyes are back to normal - 2-3 hours; and you may want to wear sunglasses if it's a bright day.

A mild & momentary sting - don't worry. If it is a bright day, take sun glasses.

Hi jelaca
Nothing at all to worry about. Just sting for couple seconds. Vision will be blurred for a couple of hours
Do take sunglasses i do even in dull weather.

I'm going tomorrow..........................!!

All the above is good advice it'll sting and water for a while and I can't emphasise the sunglasses enough.
