Eye Screening Question

Just got a letter through saying my eye screening appointment is on Thursday. Do they tell you then and there if your eyes are all ok?
 
Yes they show you the pictures of your eyes on screen and what they are looking for :)
 
I am told that my eyes are ok .. At the appointment .. They have not needed to have any put drops in yet .. We don't have a screen to see anything on in my eye test .. So it must be diffrent in diffrent areas !
 
They couldn't tell me ( I did ask). She said 2 specialists look at the images. I received a letter about 10 days later, although initially I was told it could take up to 6 weeks.

Mine always tell me mine are ok.
The optician takes a few photos, we look at the image, they do a bit of digital manipulation, upload the imaged to the NHS server, then a few weeks later I get a letter from the hospital confirming it.
If your optician hasn't a screen, how can they be sure the image is readable, mine always take several shots, as they're never happy with the first one, then they want different areas as well?
 
I had my first since diagnosis at the hospital on Wednesday. I asked the lady taking the photos if she could see anything untoward and she said not, although she did say that the formal report will be written once the images have been examined on a much larger screen

I should hear in 2-3 weeks.
 
@douglas99 .. It always been done the same for me .. It's done at the docs .. The optician comes up from Aberdeen I think .. There is a follow up letter say all is good as well !
 
My test was done at our surgery, and I had to wait for the results to be examined, and a letter was then sent to me.

Hello. I had drops put in my eye then a 10 minute wait while they worked then pictures but no results. They came by post a week later. :)
 
Thanks all, now just gotta find the place next week as it's not at my doctors but a surgery in another town. Got the Podiatrist Wednesday then eye screening Thursday. What fun lol.
