I have had this done before Xmas and now have an appointment today, what will they do at this so I can prepare myself?

I am not sure when you say you had it done before Xmas do you mean this is the second time today? If you are having your screening today then they advise you not to drive for some hours after having the drops in and to wear sunglasses after the examination. The actual eye screening is just putting your chin into a chin strap while they take some photos of your eyes.

Good morning all my friends can you tell me how long this takes approximately I have mine booked for the 13th February:)

Yes that's what the letter says

@wiseowl_123 Mine took just over 30mins. Eyes were tested and then drops put in. Sent out to waiting room and called back in about 20 mins later for scan which was very quick.

@James1968 as above if it's the scan, If it's to do with results then that would depend on the results.

Thanks It will probs be a follow up from the screening that I have had done before Xmas,so i hope that it's good news

@James1968 hope you don't mind me sharing your thread only I didn't know where else to post my question,I do apologise in advance:),

Good afternoon @Hiitsme my friend and thank you I have had the eye test done this year as I took it upon myself,to have it done as soon as I was diagnosed, the optometrist very reluctantly agreed to show me the photos of the back of my eyes and explained what we were looking for,he said that they were fine, now I know the NHS don't recognise these private eye tests :)

No problem

That's me been seen at hospital and now I have to wait on word if I need to see anyone else happy days

It must be the time for it - I've just been for my own retinopathy scans today too.

Glancing at the screen, everything seemed OK, though with those drops in, it's all a bit blurred anyway!

Six week wait for the results - it'll fly by. This is my 3rd scan since diagnosis, and especially since LCHF, both eyesight and BG's have dramatically improved
