Eye test

If it's a mobile unit,after the drops and waiting for them to take effect, they get you to rest your chin on a contraption and then take photos. The results come after a couple of weeks. I've just reported mine, which arrived today.
It's not scary or paainful, except the drops may sting.

Hi I am due mine next week. I have had two done previously. It doesn't hurt at all. But make sure you don't plan to go out anywhere afterwards. My pupils took quite a while to do back to normal size and the light outside was pretty uncomfortable. Wear as dark a pair of glasses as you can get 8)

Er... 'the drops may sting' is putting it mildly. I could hardly bear to stand there or speak or open my eyes or anything for a whole minute. I thought I might collapse! I have always had sensitive eyes so maybe that explains it. But I would just have liked her to say "this may sting" like they do when you have injections. That would not have told me the whole story but no other drops have ever done that to me. This spiel is for warning any others!!! It's a bit too late for Ditzeeblonde - hey, where ARE you??
 
The drops haven't hurt me yet and i've had the eye test 7 times in 13 months . One day was painful when the nurse sent me in too early but other than that it's ok.

Eye test was fine... she took some pictures & decided that I didn't need the drops. Husband wasn't best impressed as it meant I could join the girls on a shopping trip to ikea!!!

Next is my first full check up... how exciting! :D
 
I had my NHS test a couple of weeks ago and the results,as I posted were good.
I decided to go to Specsavers as weel, because they can tell me straigtht away if there has been any actual improvement. i phoned and would oyou believe it? my appointment is 4:30 Sunday. oh well. I'll walk in to town and get some exercise. It's about 3 miles and downhill all the way.

PS will not walk back. the hill is fairly steep and LONG.
