Eye test

Hi

When I had my last eye test in October my diabetes was very poorly controlled (HbA1c 12!) in the last two months I have started new insulin and gotten things under control (mean BG 7.5) but in the last couple of weeks I've felt that the specs I had made up then aren't working as well. Can moving from poor to good control affect my script? Should I make another eyetest appointment or wait and (no pun intended) see if this settles down?

Most definitely a change fron no or poor control of Bg levels to good or better control will have an effect on your eyesight.
You need to let your Bg levels settle before making an Optician's appointment, otherwise you are throwing away more money.
Discuss it with your Optician and see what he/she says.

I would probably wait a month or two before having another prescription made up.

Hope this helps.
