Are you talking about the screening test?
If this is abnormal, then they send you off to the eye specialist...
What happens next, will depend on what the the eye specialist finds, he/she might decide that what they find doesn't require any treatment and decide to monitor, they might decide that laser treatment is required..
Laser treatment isn't a long or painful procedure taking moments to carry out, and no real noticable after affects, and if you'll lucky they might if laser treatment is required actually do it that day...
