Hi @Wicky1723 , welcome to the forum.

Like the others have said, it's likely from your blood glucose improving, it takes your eyes a while to get used to it.
In the meantime, don't spend your money on expensive prescription glasses but buy a pair of cheap reading glasses to see you over.

Hi@Wicky1723, changes in eyesight can be scary.
From personal experience with a sudden change in diet, reducing sugar drastically, there was a noticeable change in my eyesight; I had to put on glasses to watch TV, the TV was the same size and the sofa hadn't moved but things were a little blurry.

This lasted a couple of weeks and my next visit to the opticians shows my eyesight had improved slightly since my last prescription. :watching:

There are a lot of other reply's all saying the same thing hope this helps put your mind at rest.
:bag:

I had am still have this yes it is quite alarming and scary when it happens. I even went to opticians to make sure, the optician said do not worry too much it is part of your diabetes changing and how it is affecting you. It can take up tp two or three months to return to normal

While I'm sure that for the vast majority this is just temporary, there are 2 or 3 members in the 'other forum' who say that changing their blood glucose too fast caused permanent eyesight changes.
Perhaps they are mistaken, but just in case, I never advise such sudden changes. In most cases, people who use a Low Carb way of eating will naturally take time to find out how low they need to go - and this gives the body a little time to adjust as the Blood Glucose trends downward. This is also 'smoothed' by the body's own inertia against rapid change i.e. the liver will attempt to keep your BG as high as it is accustomed to. So it will dump glucose into the bloodstream until it gets the message that you don't need as much glucose as you used to have sloshing around in your body and that you actually feel better with less of it.
