Sad to hear what you are struggling with, maybe someone in here has had the same problem, it is I guess a very seldom occurring problem so it might take some days till someone in here answers positively to that condition..Do you have very high average blood glucose in general? this can lead to nerve damage in unlucky cases and it is not something one can predict when it comes to wherein one's body...
are you type 2 diabetic or are you a type 1 diabetic, and if type 2 do you also inject insulin or eat insulin affecting medication.. this is important to tell so that people do give you an advice that is right for you.

if you are type 2 diabetic is usually rather easy to get lower normal levels of blood glucose if you stay under 100 grams of carbs daily... you can keep asking the questions you need to ask people in here are very kind and helpful in general

here is a link of some adding conditions that are more frequent in people with higher levels of blood glucose :

Hi there I am type 1 and when my blood sugars go very low below 3.5 mmol the right side of my face usually goes pretty numb and this may last about 30 min or so. However low blood sugar impacts everybody differently. Anyways best speak to your endo or diabetes nurse about it when you can especially if the symptoms have started recently. All the best with it, I hope you find some answers !!
